The asset and portfolio analysis within the Building Decarbonization Calculator combines results from hundreds of thousands of energy models, carbon data from the C.Scale API, and a cost model developed specifically for SE offerings.
The goal of this tool is to support the sale of Schneider Electric products by providing data on how they can lower energy use, carbon emissions and cost. The tool supports sales teams in making data-driven decisions when making product and system recommendations, extending Schneider's competitive advantage while supporting the decarbonization of the built environment through digital-first retrofits of existing buildings.
Asset and Portfolio analysis in the Calculator includes data on cost, whole life carbon emissions, and energy use. It uses time series analysis to study the impact of ECCMs over the designated time horizon based on implementation year.
Additional information on the scope of analysis is provided in the methodology section below.
This analysis is not a replacement for your professional judgement.
The Building Decarbonization Calculator is a lightweight tool to approximate results from these methodologies, not a replacements thereof. When using results from the tool in client-facing conversations, extra caution should be taken to confirm the tool's results against common sense, local regulations, the specifics of the building asset in question, and client expectations.
This analysis is a comparative tool for decision making, not an absolute source of truth.
This analysis is meant to help sales teams make directionally accurate decisions, not provide a verified source of truth. Comparisons between scenarios describe general patterns, but may not be reflect the idiosyncrasies of a particular building.
